Founded in 1984, it is the first floating restaurant in Europe. With the typical Chinese Empiric design, floating in the heart of Amsterdam, the mystical Eastern charm takes you by surprise. The green glazed roof allows Sea Palace to glitter like an emerald jewel on the surface of Lake IJ. The Oriental interior of Sea Palace has dazzled many guests before you. It is a unique experience to be submerged by the mystical exotic surroundings and marvelling the excellent view overlooking Amsterdam at the same time! We haven’t even yet mentioned the culinary adventure which is awaiting you. Sea Palace may truly consider itself a Chinese speciality restaurant. On our culinary list you will find a grand selection of Cantonese, Sechuan, and Beijing specialities. Dim Sum, Chinese Hot Pot and Peking Duck are among the specialities one can try. With the capacity of 700 seats, Sea Palace is one of the largest restaurants in Amsterdam. The 700 seats are divided over three floors. On the top floor, Sea Palace has two private rooms which can be reserved for private gatherings, conferences and congresses. The restaurant is daily open throughout the year from 12:00 to 23:00 hours. Lunch (Dim Sum) is served from 12:00 to 16:00 hours. Dinner starts at 16:00. We kindly advise you to reserve.
